About the event
In 1593 a fiercly independent pirate woman set sail from Ireland to London to meet Queen Elizabeth the First of England. 400 years later an ordinary woman from Belfast came face to face with a member of the British aristocracy.
Come and listen to the enthralling tales of the Pirate Queen - Grainne O'Malley of Mayo and Janice Witherpoon of Belfast, who both lived through troubled times.
